Welcome to LOST Connections RPG.
This is a rp based on the ABC/Disney hit tv show LOST. This rp hopes to strike a new path with LOST rp, by reviewing the idea of connections that the losties have to each other and those around the world, a six degrees rp if you will.
The island would seem no different then any other that dotted the deep blue of the Pacific Ocean. But, this island has a history, a present, and a future. All of which seem tied to each other and tied to the world around them. There is an odd balance here, a balance that seeks to keep control of the island and those who live on it.
Without any true clear understanding, the island has drawn to it's warm shores people from around the world. They are people who are connected through a series of events and others to each other. They are tied to each other and the island. But, why? How did this happen? Why did Flight 815 crash, allowing on a few to live? Who are the Others and exactly why are they here? What brought them here, brought the Hostiles?
The island holds it's mystery tightly. Will those brought here ever understand why they were chosen? Will they learn their connections and in the end learn about themselves? We hope to find out, as their story unfolds here.
It's been three years, and the Oceanic Six have struggled with the idea of returning to the island. Now, the time has come. They have gathered, under the coaxing manipulation of Ben. They can no longer handle the future that the real world has given them. And there are those who they cannot forget whom they have left behind.
A plane has headed back over the Pacific. Aboard are Jack, Hurley, Sun, Aaron (now four), Sayid, Kate, Desmond, Ben, and a casket containing Locke. There are others aboard this plane. Unsuspecting souls who are about to find their world suddenly changed forever.
Those on the island found that their small world changed dramatically after the disappearance of those who left on the helicopter for the freighter. News traveled quickly on the island, that the rescue ship and their friends had most likely not survived the explosion that could be seen miles off shore.
A strange phenomena occurred upon the island. For as it seemed they had lost dear friends, other's appeared to live again. No one fully understanding or knowing that Benjamin Linus had set the island not only to move where it had once existed, but back in time six months. Souls that had been taken by the island returned. Tom, Libby, Eko, and others where given a chance to live again.

 Change.
I feel we need a change. And I hope that you all enjoy it. I believe we needed a new idea that gave us more free reign with our writing and characters.
Please read the new opening above in the description of LOST-Connections. It has been three years, since we wrote our characters here on the board. Jack and the Oceanic Six have returned to an island that has been thrust back in time a year. Those who died on the island, have returned to life. Their world explained to them, and they have adjusted to it over the last three years.
Let's see where we can take this. Post here in 'Repeat in the Future'

 Alright, I gave everyone time to reply, before I came back to post news.
Right now, the active characters are the following:
Sawyer, Jack, Kate, Ana Lucia, Claire, Desmond, Charlie, and Juliet.
I'll work on fixing the roster. For those who would like to apply for other canons, the list is now open. Please apply, and we'd love to have you. This site is still getting it's foothold, we are not a quick paced rp at this point. But, we have incredible writers.

Please place your comments here for role call. I have had a few players send me interest in playing some inactive taken characters. So, if you want to remain, please comment to this news before June 15th. And take further action, by jumping into a thread or beginning one.

With the lull in activity, we will have to prune membership soon. Please, if you still want to play on LOST-Connections, post. Now the season is over, we have a good idea about where we all are for our characters here. Just remember, no one has left the island yet. No one. We are a season four role play, until the Admins decide it's time to move on. It is going to be a long hiatus for our show, so feel free to come up with interesting storylines of your own to play out.
Do not forget, that we do have flashback and flashforward sections. In the FF, there should be a lot of AU going on, as we do not know everything. Feel free to play out how you think Season 5 will be. I'd like to see some creative juices flowing, and who knows. You may be right on and we may see that idea played out next year on LOST. |

 I am not sure if it was the short hiatus or what. But, it looks like we have died. I know I had to take a week myself, but it seems all threads have been unfortunately dropped. Please comment here for an activity check, and let's get going again. If not, I am going to have to free up characters soon. I hate to do this, considering I think all of you are some of the best writers out there. But, I'd really like to get this board up and running again. |
